About The Band
Once top operatives at the International Surf Bureau, The WAYBAX were reassigned to a quiet witness protection gig… until someone found a reverb tank. From espionage to espresso bars, their journey is classified-but the beat goes public. Now they serve up nightly with no cover charge for fellow agents.
Dick Foxchase – Keys / Intelligence A former Cold War codebreaker who once hid microfilm in a Hammond B3, Dick Foxchase now decrypts chord changes faster than most agents can order a martini. Rumor has it he still sends classified memos in Morse code—through his Leslie speaker.
Buster Flash – Guitar / Field Operations Known for infiltrating rival surf bands under deep cover, Buster Flash can disarm any threat with a single reverb-drenched riff. He claims his Stratocaster was once used to reflect a satellite signal. The Bureau neither confirms nor denies.
Juan Mo’ Time – Drums / Tactical Support Clockmaster, timekeeper, and suspected inventor of the double-agent drum fill. Juan Mo’ Time keeps operations tight and alibis airtight. His passport shows more stamps than his snare drum’s head—both slightly worn, both still lethal.
Mel Corvette – Lead Guitar / Command The Bureau’s original smooth operator. Mel Corvette once escaped a hostile gig using only a Gretsch, a tremolo arm, and a grin. He leads The WAYBAX with the precision of a missile strike and the polish of a waxed surfboard.
Mogley Bishop – Bass / Logistics The quiet powerhouse who once smuggled a 200-watt amp through customs labeled as “diplomatic cargo.” Mogley Bishop’s basslines have toppled regimes and rattled bar stools alike. He speaks softly—and lets the low end do the interrogation.
